Augment over replace

When a new tool category appears (here, agent-native-multiplexers like herdr), you can often get its features by layering a small, composable tool onto the one you already know, keeping years of keybindings, sessions and scripts, instead of migrating.

sam-natale's case: workmux adds worktree-per-task automation, an agent sidebar and a dashboard to plain tmux ("it's not trying to reinvent the wheel... it's just building onto the one you already own"). Because it's pure CLI, a tmux display-menu and two-line fzf scripts become a custom UI.

Tension with the rest of the archive: typecraft and omer-hamerman switched to Herdr partly for its defaults and polish (beautiful-defaults), which an add-on doesn't give you. Augmenting suits an already heavily customised setup; someone who wants good defaults out of the box is better served by switching.
